Help Us Raise Funds

Detachment members give up ten Saturdays  each year to raise thousands of dollars for community services. All donations go to local vererans' organizations.

    Background

    In 1778, during the War of Independence, the Marine Corps Rose was dedicated to those Marines who made the Ultimate Sacrifice for their country. This tradition was continued by the French during World War One. When Marines attacked the Germans in the trenches at Belleau Wood, Roses were planted by the grateful French people at the graves of the Fallen Marines.

    The Rose Fund

      

    The Marine Rose program is designed to provide funds for detachments to assist Marine Veterans, their families, widows and orphans and provide other services to the community.  These services include, but are not limited to:

    • Health and comfort items for hospitalized veterans. 
    • Health and comfort items and support programs for nursing home veterans. 
    • Scholarships for children and grandchildren of fallen Marines and Marine Veterans. 
    • Assisted youth programs for: Boy Scouts of America and Marine JROTC Programs.  
    • Humanitarian Aid to victims of natural disasters: Hurricane, tornado, flood, fire, etc.
    • Assistance for deserving Marines and their families needing financial aid.
    • Financial assistance for widows and orphans of fallen Marines and Marine Veterans.
    • U.S. Marine Corps and Marine Corps League sponsored charities. Such as: Marine Corps Reserves Toys 4 Tots Program, Department of Florida MCL John Piazzi Scholarship Program and Wounded Warrior Semper Fi Fund.
